📚✨ Bilingual Superheroes in Action! 🇲🇽🇪🇸🇵🇷
Last week, CHS Spanish Honorary Society students visited Ida Burns Elementary to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!
They read bilingual stories to ELL students, shared smiles, and showed that being bilingual is a superpower! 💬💪🌎
A special thank you to Ms. Ortega and Principal Ms. Howell for welcoming us and making the morning so memorable! ❤️

They explored exciting opportunities for bilingual students — from scholarships and study abroad programs to future career paths — and shared their favorite UCA classes and experiences.
Our CHS Spanish students loved asking questions and seeing firsthand how learning another language can open doors to the world! 💬📚

Today, our CHS Wampus Cat Marching Band takes the field at the Bands of America Regional Championship at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium (Liberty Bowl) — the largest stadium and crowd they’ve ever performed for! 🏟️✨
After countless hours of practice and rehearsal, our students are ready to show off all their hard work and dedication. 💪🎵 They even practiced on the stripes at UCA last night to get ready for this huge stage!
Cheer them on as they compete with 21 bands from 6 states, and enjoy a special performance from the University of Memphis band in exhibition!

Students in Chinese 3 and AP Chinese further practiced by retelling the process of mooncake making in Chinese, using newly learned vocabulary and grammar to strengthen their language skills.
Huge thanks to Velda Lueders Realtor Coldwell Banker RPM Group - Conway AR, for her generous donation that makes the enrichment activities of the Chinese program possible throughout the year!

Justice meets grammar! Mrs. Vinson's juniors use precise MLA citations to back up their claims from The Crucible yesterday — no dropped quotes here!

Ms. Dunn’s students went on a “trip around the world” without leaving the classroom! They picked up passports 🛂, ID badges 🏷️, and tour bags 🎒 before visiting stations to explore different countries, practice English 🗣️✍️, answer questions, and get their passports stamped ✅.
They also enjoyed authentic snacks 🍫🥖🍍 along the way! Tomorrow, they’ll wrap up their journey with a “shopping experience” 🛍️ using Monopoly money—sharing one thing they learned while picking out souvenirs.
A huge thank-you to Ms. Smith’s students for building the amazing displays that made this event so special! 💫

🎉 On Friday night, they took the stage at Conway150, helping celebrate our city’s 150th birthday with a beautiful performance on the Kris Allen Stage in downtown Simon Park.
🎨 Then on Saturday morning, these talented musicians performed again at ArtsFest 2025, a free community event hosted by the Conway Alliance for the Arts at Fifth Avenue Park.
💙 What an amazing opportunity to share their music with friends, family, and community members — and to live out our Core Value of Cultivating Community Relationships!
