🍎 National School Lunch Week: Fact #2!
Here is a fun stat for your Tuesday: CPSD students consume over 520,000 packages of apple slices every school year! That equals more than 65,000 pounds of fresh apples keeping our kids healthy and energized. Way to go, Wampus Cats! 🍏🐾
#WeAreWampusCats #TeamConway #ChampionsForKids
We’re kicking off the week by celebrating and thanking our amazing cafeteria staff! From serving up delicious meals to making sure our students have the fuel they need to learn, grow, and succeed, they do so much for our school each day. 💙
Thank you for all you do for our Cats! We appreciate you more than you know! 🐾
#SchoolLunchWeek #WeAreCarlStuart #WeAreConway #ChampionsforKids
To kick off the week, here is our first big stat: Did you know our CPSD Food Service team serves over 1 million lunches across the district every single school year?
That takes a massive amount of prep, care, and friendly smiles in the lunch line. Thank you to our incredible nutrition crew for keeping Team Conway fueled and ready to excel! 🍎🥪💙🐾

Carl Stuart Middle School is celebrating the outstanding accomplishments of its young singers following the recent Arkansas Junior High All-Region Choir auditions. 🎼✨
Students in grades seven through nine from across the state competed for a place in one of three Region 4 honor choirs: Bella Voce, Cantabile, and Vox Anima. Among the hundreds of students who auditioned were singers from Carl Stuart Middle School, under the direction of Ellen Wiles. 🎶
Our 2026 Junior High All-Region Choir students are:
🎵 Mariana L.
🎵 Eliana W.
🎵 Mellie Z.
🎵 Aaliana B.
🎵 Sofia M.
🎵 Oliver M.
🎵 Felix S.
🎵 Liam F.
🎵 Jaxon P.
🎵 Turner D.
These students have worked exceptionally hard over the past several months to prepare for audition day. Their preparation included district-wide workshops, rehearsals with the JH TB Choir, small-group and individual practice sessions during class and WIN time, all leading up to a fabulous preview concert on September 28 at the beautiful Windgate Center for Fine & Performing Arts. 🎶👏
In addition, these students learned challenging vocal music in German, Latin, Irish Gaelic, and Old Norse, requiring them to develop not only their vocal skills but also their musicianship, pronunciation, and understanding of unfamiliar languages and texts. 🌎🎼
After months of preparation, all of that hard work culminated in a two-minute audition — just two minutes for students to demonstrate the musical growth, preparation, and confidence they developed over many weeks. 🎤✨
For Wiles, the achievement represents something even greater than simply being selected for an honor choir.
“Putting yourself in a room and auditioning takes courage,” Wiles said. “Every student [representing CSMS] worked incredibly hard, but they also had to be brave enough to put that work on display in a short time frame. That takes discipline, preparation and dedication. I am incredibly proud of every student who prepared and auditioned.”
🎶👏 Congratulations to all of our talented singers! We are incredibly proud of you! 💙
