Students will be able to pick up their class schedules for the upcoming school year and purchase a locker for $5 during this time. Chromebook Insurance will also be available for purchase during this time ($20). Cash or check only.

Cat Camp is for all incoming 5th grade students and their parents/guardians! We highly encourage parents and guardians to attend alongside their students. This is a great opportunity to get a sneak peek at life at Carl Stuart, meet our amazing staff, explore the building, and learn what to expect before the first day of school. You'll also have the opportunity to pick up your student's schedule and purchase a locker at Cat Camp, making it a one-stop event to help you get ready for the new school year.
Cat Camp is Friday, August 7 from 9 AM- 11AM.

Mr. Ashley brings 18 years of teaching experience to Carl Stuart. He spent 14 years teaching general education in grades 5–7 before transitioning to special education, where he has served students for the past four years. He and his wife, Kelly, have been married for 37 years and are proud parents of three grown children and grandparents to five grandchildren. Originally from Texarkana, Arkansas, Mr. Ashley attended a Baptist seminary in Little Rock after high school and has called several places home over the years, including Little Rock, Lonoke, Kewanee, Illinois, and Vilonia.

Mrs. Ricks is a 1984 graduate of Conway Public Schools. She has been married for 36 years and is the proud mother of two sons and one stepdaughter, as well as the grandmother of three. Her family is her greatest gift, and she loves teaching, sharing that becoming a teacher is one of the best decisions she has ever made.

✨ Say hello to Samuel Sturdivant, who is joining Carl Stuart Middle School as our new PE/Health Teacher, Head Boys Basketball Coach, Assistant Football Coach, and Assistant Track Coach!
Coach Sturdivant graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. He recently married his wife, McKenzie, and enjoys playing golf, watching basketball, and spending time with his family.

Mrs. Francis is beginning her 20th year in education and brings a wealth of experience to Carl Stuart. Throughout her career, she has served as a high school and middle school English and Social Studies teacher, instructional facilitator, and assistant principal. She holds a Master of Science in Education and an Educational Specialist degree in School Leadership. Outside of school, she and her husband, Sean, have one daughter, Kaylee, who will be a junior at Hendrix College this fall. Mrs. Francis is also a proud Conway native and a Homegrown Wampus Cat, graduating with the Class of 2000!

Our Wampus Cat family is coming together to support Conway Public Schools students and families this summer!
We're collecting non-perishable food items now through July 21 that will be distributed during our Cats in Community Food Giveaway on July 23 in the Conway High School roundabout between 10:00am till 1:00pm or until supplies last. Every donation helps provide food and resources to families in need during the summer months.
Donation Drop-Off Dates: Now till July 21
Drop-Off Locations:

• Kroger (Prince Street)
• Walmart (Highway 65)
• United Way
Most Needed Items:
• Peanut butter, canned tuna, canned chicken, soups, chili, canned beans, protein snacks
• Mac & cheese, pasta, rice, pasta sauce, instant potatoes, ramen noodles, boxed meal kits
• Canned vegetables, canned fruit, applesauce, crackers, granola bars, cereal, oatmeal packets, pancake mix, breakfast bars
