The date to turn in your money and forms for the Golf Ball Drop has been extended to Tuesday, October 29. The golf ball closest to the pin or in the hole wins $1,000 cash. You do not have to be present to win. The top seller in each grade wins a $100 gift card. The Chromebook Insurance Plan is an optional plan to cover Chromebook damages/replacement in the event of reasonable accidents, such as drops, spills, etc. This protection plan is $20 and allows up to TWO CLAIMS per policy until your child reaches 8th grade. Students were given the form when they picked up their Chromebook on Friday. Report Cards will be handed out today during 3rd period. Red Ribbon Costume Contest during 2nd and 3rd period assembly on Thursday, October 31st. The New York City Informational Trip will be on Thursday, November 7th at 6:00 pm in the media center for 6th grade parents and students. Papa John's Fundraiser Thursday, November 7th from 4-8 pm. Red Ribbon Week
Thursday October 24, Coach German's PE class had Coach Kate Hoopchuk from the Conway Tennis Center teach tennis skills and play tennis games. The students learned how to hold a racket, rally, and played several tennis like games like King of the Hill and Survivor. Coach Kate did a wonderful job and the students really enjoyed learning about and playing tennis! #AscendtoExcellence #celebratecsms

To better support our middle school students, Conway Public Schools will assign each student a Chromebook, which they will keep through 7th grade. This 1:1 technology initiative enhances personalized learning, fosters digital literacy, encourages collaboration among students, and keeps parents informed about classroom instruction. We ask parents to help by discussing the following with their children: The importance of charging their Chromebook nightly for learning. Treating Chromebooks with respect to prevent damage. Using Chromebooks for instructional purposes only. Optional Chromebook insurance will be available for purchase at Parent-Teacher Conferences and will also be sent home during distribution day, the week of October 21. Thank you for your support!
