The music, the spirit, and the smiles lit up the whole school! A special thank you to CPSD Deputy Superintendent Jason Black for joining us and sharing some powerful words of encouragement with our amazing 3rd and 4th graders. Thank you to all of the Vann families who came out last night to make family book kits, browse the art show, create comic strips, win prizes at the book walk, listen to guest readers, and shop the book fair at our SUPER Family Night! Our Family Night tomorrow will include an Art show!

Last week, Vann’s Art Club took a field trip to the Windgate Museum of Art at Hendrix. They were immersed in the art of Walter Ingalls Anderson, as well as the colorful art of “The Wondermakers” Mindy Meyers & Jenna Freimuth. Students also learned about the traditional Japanese art of Gyotaku & Koinobori and then created their own fish prints and windsocks!

ATLAS testing for 3rd and 4th grade students begins next week! Please take note of these dates again to be sure your student is on time to school and can stay all day for testing on these days. We are ready to show what we know! #beincredible
