Mr. Stacks and Mrs. Oates are truly the best Assistant Principals in the game! Their leadership, dedication, and support make them invaluable to RDMS. They go above and beyond to create a positive environment for both staff and students, always bringing innovative ideas and solutions. We’re lucky to have them!

In February, 6th graders Melanie, Henry, and Greer swept the Junior Historical Paper category at History Day Regionals, earning spots at the State competition. This weekend, all three students—along with their families—braved flash flooding to successfully present their papers to judges at UCA. Greer’s paper on The Lost Year in Little Rock earned the Special Arkansas History Prize, awarded by the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies and the Central Arkansas Library System. Henry placed second in the STATE for his paper on the Newsboys Strike of 1899, qualifying him for the National History Day contest in Washington, D.C. this June! Congratulations to all three students on their outstanding achievements!

RDMS students recently competed in the Conway Public Schools district chess tournament. In a packed fifth grade and under division (55 participants), Jacob Z. went undefeated, going an amazing 6-0! Sahi M. finished in 4th place with a 5-1 record. In the sixth-grade division, Henry G. finished in 3rd, and Finn A. had a 4th place finish. Danny R. finished in 4th place in the 7th-grade tournament. These five will represent RDMS at the Arch Ford Co Op tournament in April. Congratulations to all who participated! #AscendToExcellence #RDMStrong

RDMS student, Sydney P., won the State Picturing Economics Art Contest. She depicted the word credit from her studies in science over natural resources, discussing how resources are valued, processed, and the impact they have on economics. Congrarulations to Sydney! #AscendToExcellence #RDMStrong

RDMS 7th graders- Beckett, Cooper, Sawyer, Grey, Beau, and Camden- participated in the Economics Arkansas Y.E.S. (Youth Entrepreneurship Showcase) Competition. In the fall, the students wrote a business plan for their handmade products- Ninja Tags- which are zipper pulls for backpacks and other items. Their business plan earned a spot in the top 25 teams to advance to today’s Expo. After speaking to judges and making real sales, the Ninja Tags team won 1st place for Best Retail Booth and 2nd place in the Marketing Piece category.
