Today RDMS had a WIN Assembly recognizing our RDMS Students of the Month who are nominated and voted on by their teachers. Students were nominated in November for maturity, and in December for service. There was also a special guest speaker, Mayor Bart Castleberry!

This is a reminder that our first-semester RDMS Incentive Bash is this Thursday! We are so proud of our students for their hard work this semester. Concessions will be sold as a part of the fun at the school for 5th grade and at the Boys and Girls Club for 6th and 7th grades. Thanks to a grant from the Conway Public Schools Foundation, Dr. Sweere’s RDMS science classes are able to go on a virtual field trip of the rock cycle, identifying types of rocks and the processes that make each type.

RDMS students in 7th grade ELA participated in a comma crime scene to see which group could solve the crime. In this assignment, students were given multiple problems with comma placement, and they had to locate the problems and fix them.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
In our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, we conduct regular safety drills throughout the school year. These exercises are crucial in preparing both our students and staff to respond effectively in the event of an emergency. We want to inform you about an important reunification drill scheduled for November 22nd at Ruth Doyle. This drill will help us practice efficient procedures for transporting our students to the reunification site, where students will be reunited with their family members during an emergency situation. This drill is dedicated to transporting ONLY! Students will be released at the normal time and place on this date. We believe that thorough preparation is essential for safeguarding our children. Students will be getting permission slips that need to be signed and returned including the option to opt out of this drill.
