As students and staff return to school for another year, let’s all do our part in keeping safety at the forefront of our minds at school, at home, and on the road.
· Watch for school buses. Slow down and never pass a stopped school bus with its lights flashing.
· Drive safely in school zones. Slow down, pay attention, and watch carefully for students, parents, crossing guards, and school staff.
· Stay alert. It only takes a few seconds of distraction to change a life forever.
· School safety starts when we leave our homes. It doesn’t just depend on what happens inside our school buildings.
Let’s work together to ensure every student and staff member arrives at school and returns home Safe and Sound.
The volume of traffic will increase this week. Please be patient as we work together getting back in the routine of drop off and pick up.

Pre-K Camp sign-up is now CLOSED so that we can finalize our numbers and begin preparing for a great two days of camp!
For those who were able to sign up and will be dropping off your little learner at Pre-K Camp on Monday and Tuesday, we are so excited to meet you. 💙 Didn’t get a chance to sign up for Pre-K Camp? No worries! You will still have the opportunity to sign up for Open House.

⭐ PreK Camp is for students who have completed the enrollment process and have been accepted into our preschool program.
⭐A snack will be provided.
⭐There is no need to send school supplies, backpacks, or lunch boxes.
⭐ If your child attended Sallie Cone Preschool last year, they do NOT need to attend PreK Camp.

We are excited to welcome our new and returning students and parents as we kick off another wonderful school year!
Students who have been accepted and are fully enrolled have received an email with a link to sign up for one of our available Open House time slots, or you may use the following link-- Sallie Cone Open House Sign-up
The last day to register for Open House is Wednesday (8/12), so don’t wait too long to reserve your time slot! 💙
👉 Please plan to arrive at the beginning of your selected time slot so you have plenty of time to complete everything before your session ends.
💊If your child requires meal modifications or takes prescription medication during the school day, please bring any necessary items with you to Open House and stop by Nurse Jessica’s office to complete the required paperwork.
During Open House, you will:
📚 Meet your child's teachers and paraprofessionals and visit their classroom.
📝 Complete emergency contact forms and other important documents.
📱 Set up your Procare account, our parent communication platform.
🚗 Learn important school procedures, including arrival, dismissal, attendance, and other information from our Parent Handbook.
✨ Ask questions, explore the classroom, and get ready for a wonderful school year!
Please Note: There is NO need to bring school supplies, backpacks, or lunchboxes.

CATS IN COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE
Our Wampus Cat family is coming together to support Conway Public Schools students and families this summer!
We're collecting non-perishable food items now through July 21 that will be distributed during our Cats in Community Food Giveaway on July 23 in the Conway High School roundabout between 10:00am till 1:00pm or until supplies last. Every donation helps provide food and resources to families in need during the summer months.
Donation Drop-Off Dates: Now till July 21

• Kroger (Prince Street)
• Walmart (Highway 65)
• United Way
Most Needed Items:
• Peanut butter, canned tuna, canned chicken, soups, chili, canned beans, protein snacks
• Mac & cheese, pasta, rice, pasta sauce, instant potatoes, ramen noodles, boxed meal kits
• Canned vegetables, canned fruit, applesauce, crackers, granola bars, cereal, oatmeal packets, pancake mix, breakfast bars

As the school year begins to come to a close, we are reminded of the many meaningful experiences our children have shared both inside and outside the classroom. From learning and growing together to creating joyful memories with friends and teachers, these moments help build confidence, connection, and a love for school.
We hope our students carry these positive experiences, happy memories, and special friendships with them as they continue their educational journey. 💙

Through this hands-on experience, children are strengthening fine motor skills, creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Activities like these also encourage communication, imagination, and independent exploration as children design and build using a variety of materials.
We love seeing their unique creations come to life while learning through play!
The dance party and bubbles were definitely a hit with the kids! A special thank you to Mr. Burbank for keeping the tunes going all morning long and helping make the day so much fun for everyone! 💃🫧🎶

The letters may not all be perfectly connected yet, but they are recognizing and independently attempting the letters in their names—and that is meaningful growth worth celebrating!
