Our CATS in Community Food Drive is underway, and we need your help! 🥫 Together, we can support Conway Public Schools families by providing food and resources to those in need this Thanksgiving season.

• Walmart – Highway 65
• United Way – 1107 Main Street, Conway
• Conway Junior High School
• All Conway middle schools

🥫 ITEMS WE’RE COLLECTING:
🥜 Proteins & Soups: Peanut butter, canned tuna, soups
🍝 Pantry Staples & Meals: Mac and cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, instant mashed potatoes, ramen noodles, boxed meal kits
🥫 Sides & Breakfast: Canned vegetables, canned fruit, applesauce, crackers, granola bars, cereal, breakfast bars

Please ensure all food items are sealed and within their expiration dates!

Our food distribution day will be Friday, November 20, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Conway High School Roundabout.

What a fun day in first grade! Mrs. Lute’s class learned about writing using ordinal words and the steps to carving a pumpkin! Hands-on, meaningful learning are the best!

Big break ahead, Wampus Cats! Reminding all families that students will have an extended break from October 20th through October 23rd.

Here is the multi-day breakdown:
🛑 Oct 20: Teacher Work Day (No school for students)
💬 Oct 21: Parent/Teacher Conferences (No school for students)
🍁 Oct 22-23: Fall Break (Schools & Offices Closed)
🐾 Oct 26: Return to School

If you are interested in volunteering at Woodrow Cummins Elementary, please join us for Volunteer Training on Thursday, October 15, at 8:30 a.m. in the WCE cafeteria.

This training is a district and state requirement for anyone wishing to volunteer in Conway Public Schools.

Our High School Lady Cat Volleyball team will be in the drop off line tomorrow morning (October 9th) to collect change for their Pink Night Recipient, Emmersyn Caldwell, who is a former WCE student! Get your change ready and help us  support Emmersyn! Just like every year, we hope to raise the most money of all elementary schools to show our generosity and support!

Emmersyn is a 9th grader at Conway Junior High School. She was a member of the Conway Junior High Volleyball team when she began to experience joint pain. After blood work, she was diagnosed with Leukemia and began chemo treatments in May of this year. Emmersyn is still fighting and undergoing treatment.
