CPSD Bell to Bell No Cell
At Conway Public Schools Elementaries, we believe school is a place for students to learn, grow, and build good relationships with others. To help keep our classrooms focused and follow state guidelines, students should not use personal electronic devices during the school day. This includes cell phones, AirPods, wireless headphones, and smartwatches. We ask that all devices be turned off and kept in backpacks during school hours.

We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Halle Sligh to the 4th grade team at WCE!
Ms. Sligh graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in December 2024 with a degree in Elementary Education. Most recently, she taught Kindergarten at Carolyn Lewis Elementary, where she began her teaching journey.
Born and raised right here in Conway, Ms. Sligh is especially excited to begin this next chapter teaching in the community that shaped her. Her passion for education was inspired by the incredible teachers she had in CPSD and her mother, who is also an educator.
When she’s not in the classroom, Ms. Sligh enjoys traveling, going on walks, listening to country music, and spending time with friends and family.
She shares:
🗣️ “I am so excited to see so many familiar faces I babysat throughout the years at WCE this upcoming year and love on all of my 4th graders!”
Please help us give Ms. Sligh a warm WCE welcome! 💙🍎

When she’s not in the classroom, Ms. Tipton loves reading, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on her favorite baseball teams. ⚾️📖
We’re thrilled to have her join the Woodrow team and can’t wait for our students and families to meet her. Welcome to the WCE family, Ms. Tipton!

🎓💙 Honoring a Legacy of Service 💙🎓
Conway Public Schools celebrated our 2025 retirees yesterday with a special luncheon recognizing 25 incredible individuals who have dedicated their lives to education—some with over 36 years of service to CPSD!
Superintendent Dr. Jeff Collum shared words of gratitude and encouragement, reminding retirees that they’ve “run the race well,” made a lasting difference, and have an exciting new chapter ahead.
👏 To those who attended—and those who couldn’t—thank you for your years of service. You will always be part of the Wampus Cat Family!
