CPSD December 2023 School Board Meeting Recap

🚙 Stop #7 of the Conway School Board's "CPSD Road Trip" recently took place at Theodore Jones Elementary School. School Board Members and District leaders were warmly greeted by the 4th-grade Jaguar Leaders. These exceptional students led the entire presentation, highlighting all the wonderful things happening at TJE. The TJE Choir, under the guidance of Ms. Johnson, did a remarkable job of immersing us in the holiday spirit.
The Pinnacle Program, led by Ms. Story, showcased their highly impressive Macy’s Day Parade Robots, with floats zooming around on their own. Additionally, they presented their cardboard Putt Putt courses and demonstrated the level of difficulty they had incorporated into them. The hard work of these students was truly showcased during this part of the presentation.
Ms. Lakey, TJE Instructional Facilitator, hosted a session of FUN & LEARNING, where students engaged in learning games with the School Board members and District Leaders. The excitement in the room was contagious, and the students were both having fun and learning.
A noteworthy highlight was the Staff Spotlight, where Principal Carise Echols recognized Ms. Massery for her thoughtfulness and going above and beyond to provide a care cart for students, offering access to everyday care items if needed.
Our District Leaders experienced a delightful surprise with the special guest appearance of THE TJE JAGUAR! School Board Members were honored with STUDENT-MADE Trophies, symbolizing their role as #ChampionsForKids. Special thanks to Principal Carise Echols and Assistant Principal Heath Dow for delivering an exceptional presentation of your campus!
