🍎Incoming Kindergarten Students🌟 Conway Public Schools will prepare Kindergarten students to begin their first year in education. This year, beginning August 19, 2024, all kindergarten students will participate in Wampus Kitty Kinder Camp! Week of August 12 - Open House (check your school’s schedule for date/time - link below) During Open House, you and your child will meet all of the kindergarten teachers, administrators, tour the school, and Kindergarten classrooms. Your child will have an opportunity to meet other children, so they recognize some familiar faces on the first day of school! August 19 - First Day of School Kindergarten students will begin at 9:00 a.m. on the first day. We welcome parents and guardians to walk your child into the building and bring them to the designated area. August 19-23 - Wampus Kitty Kinder Camp During the first week of school, Kindergarten students will spend time with each Kindergarten teacher in a classroom. They will participate in a variety of fun activities, learn their school and classroom procedures, routines, and meet new friends and classmates. We will learn your child’s strengths and areas where they excel by administering the district Kindergarten Readiness Assessments. August 23 - Teacher Reveal! At the conclusion of Wampus Kitty Kinder Camp, your child will bring home a scratch off card revealing their assigned Kindergarten teacher for the school year! August 26 - Welcome to Class! Your child will report to their classroom to begin a wonderful year of learning with their assigned teacher. We welcome you to walk your child to class the first day! Teachers look forward to meeting your child and learning their unique needs to ensure their growth and development in the upcoming year! If you have questions, please reach out to the principal. 📣Special Announcement: On July 15, 2024, the Conway Public School District will destroy Special Education records of students who graduated, moved or were dismissed from Special Education services in the district between January 1, 2018 and June 30, 2018. This process is carried out in compliance with federal and state laws. Students, parents and/or guardians may obtain any data from folders prior to July 15, 2024, by calling the Special Education office at (501) 450-6634, extension 0303.

🎉🏆 We had the privilege of honoring our Conway High School Coding Team for their outstanding achievement of winning back-to-back State Championships at our May School Board Meeting! 🏆🎉 Additionally, our team was recently recognized at the Conway City Council Meeting by Mayor Bart Castleberry for their exceptional achievement. This remarkable accomplishment is historic for two reasons: 1. It's the first time an entire team has repeated a win in consecutive years. 2. Conway High is the only school to have won the competition three times since it began eight years ago. The Conway Educational Aspiring Leaders (CEAL) received their program completion certificates during our May School Board Meeting. This inaugural cohort, led by Dr. Megan Duncan, Paula Harris, Sarah Jerry, Siri Briggler, and Courtney Knight, signifies a significant milestone. The CEAL program serves as a vital pathway for individuals within the district to emerge as leaders across various departments. Dr. Duncan expressed that the program's objective was to provide opportunities for all employees, not solely aspiring principals, but for anyone eager to serve in any capacity within our district. 🌟Our very own Director of Support Services, Mr. Jason Lawrence was recognized by the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators as Arkansas’ 2024 School Plant Manager of the Year!! The award was presented by AAEA’s very own Mr. Mike Mertens, Dr. Mike Hernandez, as well as Greg Collins from Dover School District, American Fidelity (who sponsors the award), and representatives from Lifetouch. Some words that were said about Mr. Lawrence from individuals who nominated him for this award included that Mr. Lawrence “is a dedicated professional, a master of his craft, you can count on him to get the job done well and done right, encouraging, he leads with integrity, and his heart has always been in the right place doing what is best for the students of Conway.” Congratulations Mr. Lawrence!
