✨ Black History Spotlight ✨
With 6 years in education, all spent with Conway Public Schools, Denisha Knapp was drawn to teaching by the opportunity to shape lives, inspire young minds, and help students discover their potential. The chance to make a real, lasting difference is what fuels their passion every day.
A key influence in their journey was Amanda Barker, an English teacher and varsity cheer coach, whose high standards and passion for learning sparked a love for reading and ultimately inspired a career in education—a path Ms. Knapp once vowed never to take, but life had other plans!
Recognized as a Conway Core Values Champion, Paraprofessional of the Year, Arkansan of the Day, and 501 Life Person of the Month, Ms. Knapp has also celebrated two state championships with their Unified Basketball team.
One unforgettable teaching moment came when a student delivered a heartfelt speech, sharing how winning a Special Olympics gold medal had shaped her life. Seeing her speak confidently with minimal assistance after weeks of hard work was truly inspiring.
The most important lesson Ms. Knapp hopes to pass on? 💡 "The value of honesty and taking responsibility for your actions."
Let’s celebrate the dedication and impact of Ms. Knapp this Black History Month! 🙌

✨ Black History Spotlight ✨
For 11 years, Ms. Rasberry has been sharing her passion for Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS), helping students gain real-world skills they’ll use for life. Her journey started in high school, where she took every FCS course available before deciding to become a teacher.
Growing up in a small NE Arkansas town, she saw firsthand the power of teachers who truly cared about their students and community. That sense of support and encouragement shaped her approach to education. She was deeply influenced by her own FCS teacher, Lisa Miller, and later by Princella Age, a mentor who guided her in reaching all students effectively.
A three-time Teacher of the Month winner and recipient of the Student Impact Award, Ms. Rasberry cherishes the "firsts"—watching students cook, sew, balance a checkbook, fill out job applications, and gain confidence in their abilities.
Her biggest lesson for students? 💡 "Be true to yourself and don’t worry about what others think—because that’s none of your business. Find your own kind of smart and use it as your personal power for learning."
Join us in celebrating Ms. Rasberry’s dedication and impact this Black History Month! 🎉👏
