STN is the largest and one of the most prestigious competitions in the country for high school media programs — and earning Distinguished Merit places Six-Leg Media among the Top 30 programs in the nation. ✨

What makes this even more impressive? For many of these students, this is their first year producing this type of broadcast content. First year. Top 30 in the country. Let that sink in.

🎉 Honoring a legend! Our senior English classes had the incredible honor of helping Mr. Floyd Brantley, a 100-year-old WWII veteran, personally thank over 400 birthday card senders from around the world. Using his template, our students handwrote 110+ heartfelt thank-you notes and even got to meet Mr. Brantley in person! Small in Number, Mighty in Impact: Meet Our ELL Department!

They may be small in number, but our English Language Learner (ELL) team is mighty! 💪
Together, this team brings nearly 50 years of teaching experience and 3+ years each supporting ELL students. They hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees, plus ESL endorsements, and their dedication has been recognized through awards, grants, and local honors.
Beyond the classroom, they’re just as dynamic—writing rap songs to teach history, coaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, performing music, exploring new cultures, and celebrating students’ milestones, like being the first in their families to graduate high school in the U.S.
ELL students are resilient, and this team’s dedication helps them grow, thrive, and achieve their dreams! ❤️
