CATS IN COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE

Our Wampus Cat family is coming together to support Conway Public Schools students and families this summer!

We're collecting non-perishable food items now through July 21 that will be distributed during our Cats in Community Food Giveaway on July 23 in the Conway High School roundabout between 10:00am till 1:00pm or until supplies last. Every donation helps provide food and resources to families in need during the summer months.

Donation Drop-Off Dates: Now till July 21

Drop-Off Locations:
• Conway High School
• Kroger (Prince Street)
• Walmart (Highway 65)
• United Way

Most Needed Items:
• Peanut butter, canned tuna, canned chicken, soups, chili, canned beans, protein snacks
• Mac & cheese, pasta, rice, pasta sauce, instant potatoes, ramen noodles, boxed meal kits
• Canned vegetables, canned fruit, applesauce, crackers, granola bars, cereal, oatmeal packets, pancake mix, breakfast bars

Please ensure all food items are unopened, sealed, and within their expiration date.

Students in Mrs. Mosley’s class created Nature Jars where they filled them with their favorite parts of nature. They then wrote a poem, letter, or story describing their jar and how they discovered it! Students also shared their writing and Nature Jars with a Gallery Walk! A fun and creative way to celebrate their writing in ELA.

Service in action across every grade level!

The G3 Girls at Carl Stuart Middle School proudly partnered with the Greater Arkansas Chapter of the American Red Cross for meaningful service projects focused on compassion, gratitude, and community impact.

• 5th & 6th Grade students created heartfelt cards for Red Cross volunteers.
• 7th Grade students assembled comfort kits supporting Services to the Armed Forces and International Services.

A special thank you to Red Cross staffers Dr. Riva Brown, Stephanie Vardaman, Andrea Sellers, and Corinthian Williams for assisting and supporting our students throughout these projects. We are proud of our young ladies for using their hands and hearts to serve others!

If your rising 7th grade boy is interested in athletics next year, make plans to join us for an important meeting on Tuesday, May 19 at 6:00 PM in the CSMS Big Gym.

A guardian AND athlete must be present — we’ll be sharing everything you need to know to get ready for next year!

CHROMEBOOK TURN-IN:
All Chromebooks will be collected before the end of the school year. If your student will be absent on their assigned date, please have them turn in their Chromebook before leaving for summer!

Turn-In Schedule:
📅 7th Grade: Monday, May 18
📅 6th Grade: Tuesday, May 19
📅 5th Grade: Wednesday, May 20

Reminders:
🔹 Remove all stickers before turning in Chromebooks
🔹 Bring your charger 🔌
🔹 Lost or damaged charger? Replacement is $15
🔹 Report any Chromebook damage to the librarian before turn-in

ATLAS GROWTH INCENTIVE

Students who show growth on every test, meet profiency (level 3 or 4), or a combo of both--and meet testing expectations--will earn an excused absence, on Monday, May 11.

Students who meet criterion have been enrolled in a session for Monday, May 11 that says ATLAS Test Incentive - Day Off! Please have your student check Flex on Smart Pass to see if they are eligible for this incentive.

We are so proud of our students and their hard work!

Students’ medications will need to be picked up by May 21st at 3:00 pm. All leftover medication will be taken to the police station for disposal on May 22nd. Epi pens and inhalers will be sent home with the student, but everything else must be picked up by the deadline. Medications cannot be stored at the school over the summer.
