Kathryn Bates was selected as a recipient of the Interventionist Award from the Arkansas Dyslexia Support Group/Arkansas State Teachers Association! 🎉
This award recognizes educators who go above and beyond to support students with dyslexia and other reading challenges through targeted intervention. Mrs. Bates provides daily support to her students and ensures they have the tools and confidence they need to succeed. Congratulations Mrs. Bates- we are SO proud of you!!❤️📚

They practiced the planning pages they would make for narrative, informational, and argumentative writing. It was a great way for the students to review how they plan to organize their writing! 👏

Ms. Marks and Mrs. Schuetzle are truly the backbone of our school. From keeping everything running smoothly to supporting our students, staff, and families, they handle so much behind the scenes—often without recognition.
We are incredibly thankful to have Ms. Marks and Mrs. Schuetzle in our building. Their hard work does not go unnoticed, and our school is better because of them! ✨

Mrs. Lybrand | 5th Grade Science | Vocabulary Building Movement
In this activity, students had the opportunity to search for real-world examples that corresponded to each vocabulary term listed in the boxes. To complete the activity accurately, they had to demonstrate a solid understanding of each word’s meaning. This task allowed students to go outside, apply their vocabulary knowledge in authentic contexts, show their depth of understanding, and stay actively engaged through movement.
The weather was not great on the day we did this activity. We had to complete the scavenger hunt inside. Students were able to look out of the window, use prior knowledge, and research through science books available/Google search. They were still engaged through movement and applying vocabulary understanding.

Stradling | 6th Grade Math | Analyze Level Thinking
Students analyzed a chart of numbers 1-100. We discussed our observations (prime numbers have a solid ring around them, even numbers all have an orange piece, multiples of five have blue pieces, etc) and our questions (why aren’t 2, 3, 5, and 7 red like the other prime numbers?). Each period’s discussion was different because students found so many different patterns and connections about the rings around the numbers.
This was an ideal lesson for all levels of students because the observations made could be simple or complex.
