In our Left Brain classroom, curiosity was blooming just like the plants we observed! 🌼🪴
Our little scientists practiced important observation and classification skills by:
✨ Looking closely at real plants and noticing their shapes, textures, and colors
🪨 Sorting objects by texture — discovering the difference between rough and smooth
🎨 Identifying and grouping objects by color with excitement and focus!
These activities strengthen critical thinking, attention to detail, and logical reasoning — all key functions of the Left Brain! 🧠

Mark your calendars — School Picture Day is happening on October 8th & 9th!
Your child’s teacher will let you know which day your child is scheduled for pictures.
If you’d like your child to participate, please send a $5 prepayment. This amount will go toward the cost of your photo package.
Let’s get those smiles ready! 😄✨

In our Right Brain Classroom, creativity leads the way as students dive into hands-on, expressive learning!
Our curious thinkers have been:
💧 Exploring watercolors and discovering how colors blend
🏠 Building houses with open-ended materials to stretch imagination and spatial thinking
🧍♂️ Creating body outlines and comparing them with friends—fostering self-awareness and connection
These experiences spark creativity, emotional expression, and big-picture thinking—all essential to right-brain development. 🌈✨

Today, we celebrate the quiet heroes of our school — our amazing custodians! 💛 From early mornings to late evenings, they keep our classrooms sparkling, our hallways safe, and our school feeling like a second home.
Their hard work, kindness, and care don’t go unnoticed — especially by our little ones who feel the love in every clean space and shining floor. 💫
Please join us in saying a BIG thank you to our custodians today! 👏 You are truly appreciated!

October is National Principal Month, and we’re celebrating our champion principals who lead with vision, dedication, and heart. 💙
Help us honor these incredible leaders! Share a story, send words of kindness, or cheer on a principal who inspires you. Together, let’s show our appreciation for all they do.

Our students are loving this beautiful weather and putting their gross motor skills to work as they pedal bikes around the playground!
These moments aren’t just fun—they help build coordination, balance, and confidence. Go, little riders, go!

In our Left Brain Classroom, even the simplest routines—like rolling up their mats—are powerful learning moments!
This thoughtful practice helps our students strengthen memory, self-regulation, and attention to detail. 🌟
By following multi-step directions and staying focused, they’re developing the executive function skills that support lifelong learning.

Our curious learners explored what happens when you mix colors—and the results were magical! 🌈
Through hands-on painting and playful experimentation, they engaged in rich sensory learning that sparked curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and imagination.
These colorful experiences help strengthen the right side of the brain, encouraging children to think outside the box and express themselves with confidence. 🖌️✨

Our little learners have been busy:
🔢 Matching numbers to build early math connections
🔠 Tracing letters to develop pre-writing and literacy skills
📏 Stacking from big to small to explore size, sequence, and comparison
🖍️ Ripping and gluing to boost fine motor skills and creativity
These hands-on experiences support focus, coordination, and critical thinking—helping build strong, balanced brains from the very start! 🌱📚

Our students:
🎨 Used a control to draw beautiful flowers
🐄 Matched farm animals to their pictures
🧵 Participated in small group activities like stringing beads
Each activity strengthens fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, focus, and logical thinking—all key components of early brain development! 💪📚
We're growing strong minds, one thoughtful activity at a time. 💡

We need YOUR help to make it happen! 💌
Parents, students, co-workers, and friends—you can nominate your favorite teacher and tell us why they deserve a special surprise. 💖👩🏫👨🏫
Let’s show our teachers just how appreciated they are! 🌟

📢 Don’t forget to share and spread the word!

By selecting their own activities, our students aren't just having fun—they're actively building focus, decision-making, and other vital executive functioning skills. 🌟
When children have the power to choose, they engage more deeply, think more creatively, and develop confidence in their learning journey. 💡

Our students have been busy in the Left Brain Classroom learning how to use scissors safely and effectively — building fine motor skills, focus, and hand-eye coordination! 👏
Now that they’ve mastered the basics, they’re taking those new skills into the Right Brain Classroom, where they get to cut with creativity! From shapes to crafts, they’re using their cutting practice to bring their ideas to life. 🎨💡

By focusing on control, coordination, and technique, our little artists are building the foundation they'll soon use to let their creativity shine in the Right Brain Classroom! 🎨💡

Our little engineers in the Right Brain Classroom are putting their creativity and teamwork to the test! Using blocks, imagination, and plenty of collaboration, they built roads for their vehicles — complete with twists, turns, and teamwork at every corner! 🛣️✨

In our Left Brain classrooms, our little learners are hard at work during work cycle time—choosing their own activities, staying focused, and working independently. 💪📝
From puzzles and number work to language games and fine motor tasks, each child is fully engaged in activities that build concentration, logic, and problem-solving skills. 🙌

Our classrooms are full of energy as our kiddos explore through the different stations—building, imagining, exploring, and most importantly... playing together! 💬🧩🖌️
In our Right Brain classrooms, we focus on fueling creativity, big feelings, and connection. Whether they are making art or building tall towers, the kids are learning in the most natural way—through play!

Last year, our students watched in wonder as Mrs. Heath and Mrs. Carter incubated and hatched baby chicks right here in our school.
This year, two of those very chicks—now all grown up—went to the Faulkner County Fair with Mrs. Heath’s daughter… and placed! 🏆🎡
🥇 Our proud black rooster won 1st place, and
🥉 Our other feathered friend brought home 3rd place!
What a fun and exciting way to see the results of hands-on learning come to life! We are so proud of our extended preschool family (feathers and all). 🐥❤️
